Greetings! And welcome to the March of Solaris. Solaris is a territory of the Kingdom of Galandor within the Empire of Chivalry and Steel. Located in the metro area of Phoenix, AZ, Solaris is the perfect spot to bring the past to life!
The Empire of Chivalry and Steel is a nonprofit educational organization that studies and teaches, to the general public, the ideals and history from the Year 800 AD to 1650 AD, specifically covering the geographical boundaries of Europe. We specialize in the general recreation of the culture of the Middle Ages including all of the Art Forms, Events (Feasts, Tournaments, Ceremonies and Wars) and Combat Arts from that period.
We hold events that allow you to compete in the combat or gentler arts and have fun doing it! You can earn points towards Knighthood in Combat, the Arts and Sciences, and Ministry (the running of the organization and the events that we hold).
We also hold demonstrations of Medieval Culture for the General Public, in places such as Public/Private Schools (K-12) Universities, churches, cub scout groups and bookstores to name a few. We also strive to promote the ideals of Honor and Chivalry in all of our activities.
In the Empire of Chivalry and Steel, the rank of Knighthood and personal titles can be earned and awarded. Knighthood in our Empire is kept objective by using a merit based point system to follow a person’s progress towards this achievement. Points are earned according to how well you do in the areas of combat and arts, or by providing service to the Kingdom, which we call ministry.
