Gerrit's Knightly Vigil
8/22/2008
Greetings Unto the
Populace of the Glorious Kingdom of Galandor!
For some time now I have been pondering and meditating over a very
important decision that I have been given; Am I ready to be a Knight of
the Kingdom. Taking on the accolade of a Knight Minister is very
important. Not just to me, but to this great Empire that we all serve. I
have come to my own conclusions on how I wish this new path to lead, but
I wish to know what the Kingdom feels. I wish all my friends, companions
and peers to come on the night before Queen's Tea to the Keep of Their
Excellencies Gaelen and Anne to help me discover what it truly means to
take on the duties and responsibilities of a Knight. There will be light
refreshments provided, but please bring a dish and drink to share. More
information will come as the event draws closer. Thank you all!

Baron Gerrit Kendel
Queen's Tea
8/23/2008
Is it too hot for you
out there? Are you melting, even at 3 in the morning?
Come and enjoy an entirely indoor event--no sweating necessary!!
It's time once again for Queen's Tea. This year's Tea, in honour of the
Olympic Games, will have a Greek theme. As well as arts and classes,
there will be special Greek events throughout the day. Come and enjoy an
event devoted to the arts.
There will be classes throughout the day including the following:
Courtly Graces
ECS 101
Medieval Dances
How to be a Bard
Heraldry
Fighting Etiquette
Intro to Weaving
Marshalling
How to Autocrat and Event
Passing a Masterwork
and more to follow
Along with all this excitement, there will be the competition for the
Arts Champion of Galandor. Bring your best arts, whether or not they've
been judged before, and compete for the honour of being the Best in the
Arts!
But wait, there's more!
To top off the perfect day, there will be a feast in the evening! What
more could you want?
Queen's Tea, also known as the Marathon Arts Event, will be held on
August 23rd at the Red Mountain Church;
2936 N Power Road in Mesa.
Site will open at 10:30 am with classes to start at 11:30. The feast
will then start at 5pm. Site fee will be $5 for just the afternoon tea,
$10 for just the feast or $12 for both. Also, new members will get a $2
discount off of their site fee.
If you would like to help in any way, especially if you'd like to teach
a class, let me know.
